Lee and Wayne James, a brother/sister team, farm 20 acres in Healdsburg in the
heart of the Sonoma County Wine Country just 70 miles north of San Francisco. In
conjunction with the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space
Distrct, 17 of those acres are leased from the county in a ground breaking
partnership. In addition to growing more than 20 varieties of chiles and sweet
peppers, they also have a diversified market garden for their local Community
Supported Agriculture and Farmer's Markets and raise a small flock of Shetland
Sheep. Sustainably produced, but not organic.
