Since our inception, Kathy’s Pumpkin Patch believes in the importance of “local”
food choices for our customers, family, and friends. Because of this, for the
past three years, we have been a member of “Buy Fresh, Buy Local,” a
comprehensive marketing program for farmers selling directly to consumers,
restaurants, grocery stores and other institutions.
Beginning in 2007, in
order to take our dream one step further, we are offering an alternative to our
current food system for our customers by offering our own “Veggie Venture” CSA.
Why join CSA? If you enjoy eating a variety of fresh summertime produce,
but don’t want to grow your own extensive garden or shop the Farmer’s Market on
a weekly basis then joining a CSA is your answer! Joining a CSA allows you to
share where your food comes from and how it is grown with your children, to
enjoy the convenience of a weekly delivery with recipes and newsletter, and to
enjoy the adventure of trying new things and sharing that excitement with your
family.
