First Hand Harvest CSA is a cooperative effort by 4 farmers. This collaboration
allows us to focus on the crops best suited to our individual soils and
passions.
Vegetables are delivered in 3/4 bushel boxes with customers
signing up for either a Full Share or a Half Share (every other week). Pickup
is available at 5 convenient location in Rockford, Roscoe, and Pecatonica.
We know that being a member of a CSA is alot of work and we take the time to
wash our produce so that it's at its peak of freshness when you receive it. We
are working hard to create a recipe box on our website and information on all of
the veggies to make it easier for you to take advantage of all the flavors and
freshness that we deliver.
We work hard to grow the items you receive in
your box, we are strict about not "buying in" produce from other farms to put in
our boxes. We welcome inquires and our farms are open to your visits by
appointment. We want you to know who we are and where your food comes from.
