The HGP, founded in 1990, provides job training and transitional employment to
people who are homeless. The programs take place in organic gardens and related
enterprises,and offer a supportive work environment that encourages self-esteem,
responsibility, and self-sufficiency. The enterprises include a Community
Supported Agriculture program & the Women's Organic Flower Enterprise which
produces wreaths, beeswax candles and other gift products that are sold online,
at our retail store and at our special holiday store. Our website contains
information about volunteer opportunities, our programs and goals, and our
online store.
