All the produce is grown on, and distributed, directly from our farm in Columbia
which has been Certified Organic since 1997.
Your share varies through the
season, with certified organic produce that is carefully selected from the best
of what’s ripening on the farm each week. Usually you will have six to eight
different items.
20-22 weeks of fresh, local (all from Shaw Farm), certified
organic produce (weekly, from May through October) most of which is harvested,
washed, cooled and ready for pick up the same day.
The CSA share is designed
to supply fresh produce for 2-4 people. This of course depends on your eating
habits. The share size will vary throughout the season due to weather, pests,
etc. The share is
generally lighter and less varied in the beginning of the
season.
Pick up your produce at the farm in a 28 quart cooler provided by Shaw
Farm. It's 17" x 9" x 11" inside dimension. Each week you bring the empty
cooler back and pick up another one that ranges from halfway full to
overflowing. Choose your pick up day at the
beginning of the season, either
Tuesday 3-7:30pm or Friday 3-7:30pm.
