Mary and Stuart Salen moved to Old Earth Farm four years ago. Over the past four
years, we converted our fields from conventional crops into pasture for our
growing herds of grass-raised cows, sheep, and pigs. We built a bakery in our
farmhouse home, and started baking artisan breads, along with pastries, jams,
and our own special granola. We established beehives, and learned how to harvest
honey. In the past year, our wonderful farm managers, Tom Paduano and Shira
Kamm, started our vegetable garden using organic and biodynamic methods to grow
high quality produce for farmers markets.
After four years of preparation,
we are excited and ready for our first CSA season! Our goal is to be a
full-service farm, providing organic vegetables, grass-fed meats and wholesome
baked goods. We want to share our farm with you, providing delicious and healthy
food to our CSA community.
