Lucky Dog Farm is a NOFA-NY Certified Organic farm located in Hamden, NY, in the
valley that the Delaware River cuts through the Catskill Mountains. We own 45
acres and lease an additional 115 acres of adjacent land, all deep loam soil
that the river and the glaciers deposited here between the rocky hills. In any
given year we’ll have 45 to 50 acres actively cultivated in organic vegetables
with the remainder in a cover crop used to enrich our farm-made compost. We also
sell to groceries and restaurants in New York City through Angello’s
Distributing, a small company committed to local, organic and biodynamic foods.
Finally we serve a Community Supported Agriculture group that picks up weekly
vegetable shares in our store during the summer and fall seasons.
