Casa de los Gatos is a cat sanctuary for special needs cats. We provide
life-long care and housing and love for such cats, if they aren't adopted.
We take in cats and kittens from our local shelters when they are
scheduled for euthanasia. All are altered, vaccinated, tested, microchipped,
socialized if necessary, treated for any illnesses, and then adopted into good
homes.
We provide hundreds of free spay/neuters per year for cats and
dogs of low income families who otherwise couldn't afford to alter their
pets.
We practice and promote TNR (Trap Neuter Return) and encourage
others to get involved. We support those who care for feral cats, and promote
education and legislation to protect and care for feral cats.
We work
aggressively toward a No Kill Pima County (where Tucson is located), in which
all animals will receive care and love, and in which there are No More Homeless
Pets.
We welcome visiting volunteers to sunny Tucson!
