Ahimsa House, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that provides shelter,
care, and medical aid to animals caught in the cycle of domestic violence. Just
as many of victims of violence have children, they also have pets. Domestic
violence shelters do not allow victims to bring their pets to the shelter.
Often, victims will stay with a batterer because they fear their pet will be
neglected, injured or killed if left behind. Ahimsa House assists victims of
abuse by providing a safe haven for their companion animals so that they do not
have to worry about their safety and well being. Please note: We only do crisis
work. We do not do adoptions or regular rescue. Thank you.
