A private, nonprofit organization. Although our name includes “Weld County,” we
are not an agency of the Weld County Government. We are not affiliated with any
national animal organization. Rather, we are an independent public charity,
organized as a community service agency, and dedicated to improving our
community’s responsible behavior toward our animal companions. We rely solely
on donations, fundraising events, grants and fees for services.
Our services
to Weld County’s animals and citizens include:
Rescue, shelter, and refuge for
lost and unwanted animals
Lost and found services for owners and their animal
companions
Adoption services
Humane education and outreach
Support for
effective population control through active spay and neuter programs
Humane
euthanasia and cremation of ailing/aging companion animals
Low cost vaccination
clinics
Volunteer opportunities for the entire family
Leadership in developing
comprehensive animal welfare ordinances
