Refuge SBC is a retailer of green building products including sustainable wood
flooring from North Slope (Mountain Tamarack, or larch), Green Mountain
Woodworks (species from the Northwest) and EcoTimber (FSC certified domestics
and exotics), Marmoleum linoleum flooring, Expanko Cork flooring, bamboo
flooring, zero-VOC interior and exterior paint from Columbia Purecoat and
American Pride (we can match virtually any company's paint colors), American
Clay Earth Plaster, Paperstone countertops, bamboo countertops and plywood, FUHR
and Bioshield wood stains and finishes, EcoProcote concrete stains and finishes,
recycled glass tile, UltraTouch recycled denim insulation, Kirei board, Dakota
Burl (decorative sheets made from crushed sunflower seed shells), and wheatboard
(particle board substitute). We offer periodic workshops and community events
including American Clay Earth Plaster hands-on workshops and our annual Green
