Metro Wallworks has traditionally been a boutique distributor of green
decorative plaster veneers. Just recently we launched a line of recycled paint
in which 95% of the content are from disposed of paint. Metro Wallworks Recycled
Paint is less expensive that its equivalent and using recycled paint helps the
environment in two ways. The energy it takes to make 10 gallons of new paint
uses 1000 kilo watt hours which is the equivalent of running a home for a month.
California homeowners dispose of 7 million gallons a year. The energy just to
produce the disposed of paint would run 40,000 homes for a year. Secondly,
management of toxic waste is very expensive potentially problematic.
