Inergy Homes are earth friendly and energy efficient. We say our homes are
"Smart Green" because they are good for both the environment and your checking
account.
Our homes are Energy Star, Earth Advantage and Oregon Department
of Energy Certified.
An Inergy home is 259% more energy efficient than
Energy Star requirements. On average our homes save 60% on utility bills.
A
2,000 square foot Inergy Home recycles 3.8 junk cars. It saves about 3.5 truck
loads of logs. The CO2 green house emissions is 76% less than with a
conventionally built home.
Our homes are conventionally built using 2x4 and
2x6 studs with the exception that our homes use recycled steel instead of wood.
Our homes use radiant barrier which reflects heat out of the home during the
summer and reflects heat back into the home during the winter.
We use a
continuous ridged exterior insulation to stop air infiltration which not only
improves energy efficiency but also creates a healthier environment in the home.
