The University of Chicago Vegan Society has many roles on campus. It serves as a
liaison between veg*n students and the University. It holds events on campus
that promote and raise awareness of a vegan lifestyle (through animal rights,
environmentalist, and social impact approaches). It organizes and participates
in animal activism events in and around Chicago. And finally, it provides social
outings and activities for new and old veg*ns to celebrate their lifestyle. Some
of our main activities include: Try Vegan Week (held each April), Vegan
Thanksgiving, film screenings, and restaurant outings.
