Agri-Tourism Advisory Council, whose mission is “Preserving agriculture heritage
through tourism” is sponsoring the Capitan Farmers’ Market and is just one more
reason to visit Capitan New Mexico, home of Smokey Bear. The farmers’ market is
open each Saturday between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, July – September. Local growers
provide local produce and agricultural items. The market is located at Capitan
Country Emporium, 115 Smokey Bear Blvd., across the street from the Smokey Bear
