Breitbach’s Farmers’ Market Food Store, with a 33 year history, is now a
downtown Dubuque retail grocery specializing in anything organic, including
local organic beef, pork, chicken and turkeys. (Local is where it’s at...buy
local organic anytime you can!) We eat what we sell, we know our inventory...and
we answer questions about food, medicinal herbs, cleansing, organic growing, and
environmental politics with more than dumb looks.
We do have the largest
selection of fresh organically grown fruits and vegetables in Dubuque. The
catch-word here is “fresh”: the more people we have buying, the more variety we
can stock and at lower prices. We could get deliveries more than once a week if
we could sell more...and that means fresher! Sometimes we may seem out of the
way, and our hours are limited to 10 a.m. till 5:30 p.m., but your purchases
will help us. Helping people get the best food is how we have made our living
since 1982.
