COMMENT from Mary Wilson   on Jul 29, 2010    The bill to ban class b dealers and gassing of companion animals in Mich passed the Dept of Ag last week and just passed the house by 20 votes 2 days ago. Continue to contact your legislature with your support for this bill. I am also interested in the legal rights of rescue groups on a state level or local if anyone has info or resources would appreciate input. I am also interested in green. Our shelter is 70 % recycled and set up for solar heated water to be used to heat through the floor. We still need solar panels / advice etc. Post (and email) a response

COMMENT from Mary Stephens   on Jan 14, 2009    The City Counsel in Grand Haven, MI. voted to kill most the deer in the city limits during the months of Jan. & Feb of this year, they are planning to start as early as this coming week. They are baiting them with food and have hired sharpshooters to kill the deer because the deer are eating their flowers. I think this is terrible but have no way of stopping it. I sent emails to the mayor, city manager and one cousel member and even to the local paper, but to no avail. Post (and email) a response

She is in need of a mentoring experience, volunteer work, and having someone in this field help present her project. I am helping her search the web for any information.
