COMMENT from J. Dion on Apr 25, 2004 It has been my good fortune to have received J.L. Hudson, Seedsman, Ethnobotanical catalog of Seeds, for a number of years. I receive other seed catalogs, too, but none so informative, or as much fun, as this plant catalog. The descriptions are excellent. There is "helpful advise" that is...truly helpful, and often fascinating. The commentary and the essays are filled with good information, as well as good humor. I save them, year after year, as enjoyable resource material. As far as I know, there is no other seed catalog that compares. Thank-You J.L Hudson, J. Dion Post (and email) a response |

COMMENT from Tonny Surrow-Hansen on Dec 11, 2001 I bought seeds from J. L. for several years. I must admit, that have never seen a seed catalog that compares to J. L.`s both in regard of seed variety and in regard of info. I look forward each year to Jauary, where the seed catalog enter on my doorstep, both because of the articles he writes and because I get the feeling, that he knows exactly, what he is writing about. I always leave the articles with the feeling, that he is a man you could learn a lot from. I also always appreciated the never missing H.Q. seeds and quick delivery. Post (and email) a response |

COMMENT from Rosemarie on Jan 31, 2001 I can't believe no one else has commented on J.L.Hunson. I love the variety of seeds he offers (annuals, perinnials, cactus, trees, shrubs etc.). I love the catalog, listing everything alphabetically by Latin name of plant. I like the essays published in each catalog and most thoroughly enjoy the "quotes" scatered throughout. I get the impression he's a cantankerous old hoot. No color, no gloss, just good info. Post (and email) a response |
