COMMENT from Mark on May 25, 2011 I’m 52, a fairly fit type 1 diabetic, and it felt like a good time to try and shed the slight belly paunch I’d acquired in my middle age. I’d dabbled in various fasts/cleanses before and years ago did a 11-day Master Cleanse. So I rallied my discipline for the 7 days to come. Recalling my Master Cleanse, I knew fasting can be rough, especially the first few days. But this Purium fast was different: nothing rough happened during ANY of the fasting days or while breaking it afterwards. I wasn’t hungry at all, and every day I got clearer and STRONGER. Getting clear is normal during a fast, but not getting stronger. Usually, I feel “spacey”, as digestion shuts down and my body starts to eat its fat and muscle. This time my muscles got stronger. I was able to work out using the same routine I’d been following before the fast. My paunchy belly at the beginning of the fast was a poochy 41”. By the end of the fast, I was down to 37.5”! I’m pretty flabbergasted that the Purium fast works exactly as advertised. A very athletic friend has been wanting to do a cleanse, but she’s worried about losing muscle during a fast. I’m definitely going to recommend this fast to her. If you need to lose weight and gain muscle, this fast will help you. Whether new to fasting or are an old hand at it, you owe it to yourself to try this fast. It may be a bit pricey for some, but your body will be “reset” back to a healthier state afterwards. And isn’t that something most all of us want? Post (and email) a response |
