COMMENT from Heather   on Feb 23, 2010    I had to do the hardest thing ever and that was give Harley up. He was the sweetest bird, and I mean sweet sweet and for a macaw well, it's almost like he wore a cover up because I could swear he was a cockatoo by how loving he was. I like my options with Exotic Parrot rescue so that is where Harley is and will be. Misty sends me updates, pics and videos of Harley and when the weather breaks I will be going to visit, not sure if that is a good idea or not, not sure how he'll deal with that. COMMENT from Ezran Peterson   on Nov 23, 2009    Well- Misty picked up my Spark, but I have went to visit, and I like how things are kept, clean and the cages. I came unannounced, and she was just fixing their fruit and vegetable plates. Spark was happy so I am too! I will definitely recommend to anyone! The best part is I was able to first come and visit the sanctuary and see the birds already placed there or waiting on a home. I also like the fact that it was MY decision on my bird being placed in another home or live with Misty forever, which was my decision because I can visit my Tomha anytime I like, and I have since placing him, and I enjoy seeing pictures of him periodically and getting updates on him. Tomha was a little plucker when I placed him but since being there in no time he has stopped and is looking so nice again, so there is no doubt I did the right thing. I was able to drop off my bird and see her home and other birds, cages, and make sure everything was clean and it was. I do not live far from Misty so I can go there and see my bird when I want to as well. i do like the fact that her rescue is in her home and it is just not a facility on a time schedule. Keep up the work misty your doing a great job! Steven
