COMMENT from Chelsea   on May 21, 2009    Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue Inc. has done soo much for the little four legged ones in our lives. Karen is great to work with, and always keeps on top of everything! She's so patient and kind with the dogs, even though some are in need of more 1 on 1 rehabilitation. She finds the time to give each and every dog its own time to bond and play and relax. I find S.H.B.R.Inc to be one if not the best shelter I have even encountered. I hope that everyone can get a chance to help out in the effort to help our 4 legged friends. They really are a wonderful gift. Post (and email) a response

The description of Herbie on their site was exactly what we found him to be so there were no surprises. Herbie is a wonderful little guy and he was well cared for at Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue. She steals the hearts of everyone who meets her. She is such a blessing to our family. We are so proud to be part of her life and give her a loving home. She is so deserving of it! Brandie is a perfect fit! We tell all of our friends/family who are considering a dog to look at SafeHounds. We know anyone who adopts from SafeHounds will be as happy as we are!! COMMENT from Mary Hannah   on May 16, 2009    It's coming up fast that I've gotten my beagle, Maggie, from Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue. She was a doll when I was introduced to her by Karen after being interviewed at my home. Karen could see then where Maggie would be welcomed by her two housemates, brother and sister cats, and I would know that Maggie got along well with them. I heard that Maggie, who was picked up as a stray, had a cherry eye which had been fixed, she was neutered and now carried a microchip so she wouldn't be a stray again. To tell you the truth, I don't know how she survived walking around Woodbridge on her own. And it's so good Safe Hounds takes the time and trouble to investigate the animal pounds in such a wide geographic area. Well, in July she'll have her second birthday with me and the cats and we're all glad we had the luck to be able to give her birthday kisses. Post (and email) a response

This precious little dog has added so much fun and joy to our lives. Safe Hounds does a first-rate job of matching beagles to owners and providing you with a dog that is healthy and well taken care of.
