COMMENT from Jodie Spencer on Jun 19, 2010 My Mother passed away in 2008. She had a deer that had been abandoned while young and took care of it. This deer is tame and very friendly and cannot be returned to the wild even though it has had the opprotunity it has stayed The deer now has had 2 babies and I have been trying to find a nice permanent place for these animals as I do not live near there and soon the property will be sold or go back to the bank. If you could please help me to find a sanctuary for these animals I would appreciate it otherwise I dont know what will become of them. The property is in Pocahontas Arkansas Please let me know if you can help me Thanks Jodie Post (and email) a response RESPONSE: Sep 12, 2010 from NWHS Dear Jodie, Sorry for the delay in reply. Native wildlife issues are handled by the Arkansas Game and Fish. There are regulations concerning the keeping of native wildlife. Please refer to them for advice. They may know of a State Park where the deer can be relocated and be safe. Sorry we cannot be of assistance in this issue. |
