COMMENT from Robert Banks-Morgan   on Feb 5, 2009    My wife and daughter were distraught to find a small injured bird left on our doorstep by one of our cats early today A search on the internet and we found Lisa Mabry at Kritter Inc, Panama City Beach. A quick phone call and we were on our way to the Sanctuary where we met Lisa who took the bird, checked it out and kindly explained to our 11 year old daughter that the bird would recover with the right treatment. She also told her that she could come back and see the bird released when recovered. It's awesome that there are people who donate their time and expertise to help wildlife. Mabry    A thrill in a child's eye to know the small wild animal will survive her injuries! Kritter, Inc is a non-profit, all volunteer organization supported by tax-deductible contributions. Wildlife is brought into the Sanctuary 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have two resident Barred Owls as our Ambassador's that help us in our presentations and exhibits in classrooms and throughout the community where we promote research and aian natural history. We offer commuity service hours to high school and college students working towards scholarships. We are open to the public, free of charge, all donations are gladly accepted as we receive no federal or state funding.
