COMMENT from Sue on Apr 23, 2008 As the boat was entering the reef we saw straight away there were loads of dolphins. It was a sight to see because they came and caught the ‘wave’ of the boat. Words are useless to describe the feeling of witnessing this. The next hour was magical. We swam with about 60 dolphins. They were in a very playful mood. I dove deeper into the water and swam with them as the sun's rays danced upon us. We were completely surrounded. I had two swimming right in front of me looking me right in the eyes, it is indescribable. They eventually swam ahead of us out to sea. I began snorkelling along the reefs. Then something made me turn and look to my left. There alongside me, was a whole pod of dolphins! I was all alone with them. There were about 60-75 with a few babies. I always had one or two swimming with me, looking at me the whole time. It took my breath away. They eventually swam too fast for me to keep up. I felt the dolphins just wanted to be left alone now.
