COMMENT from Michelle Heinrich   on Aug 15, 2010
I have the privilege of experiencing Cerro Vista Farm both as an employee and a consumer and remain impressed on all levels. Daniel's produce is outstanding. From the luscious lettuce to the crisp carrots to the fine potatoes, it's all of the highest quality and grown with love. And the broccoli is literally the best I've ever had. The peas, beets, and squash are incredible, too. Oh, and the tomatoes? Well, the tomatoes and basil alone are worth a share. But what truly sets Daniel apart are his farming methods, for the man is a master farmer whose knowledge and years of experience allow him to grow a huge variety of produce sustainably in a VERY difficult climate. Growing food in Northern New Mexico is not an easy task, but he accomplishes it with the utmost respect for his customers, his workers, his plants, and the land itself. If you're in the area, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by the farm for a tour. Or, better yet, volunteer to work for three hours in exchange for a share. Not only are the veggies fabulous, but it's a lot of fun and you'll learn loads about growing your own food.
