  • Description:
Consumers should be able to deduct from their taxable income the money they spend on products that ensure sustainable development. The demand by billions of consumers for products with which they can live in harmony with Nature, will then be liberated. The goal of development will then be to sustain such a way of living. The goal of development is the goal with which consumers spend their income! In the present economy, consumers can spend their income with only one goal, consume more. It is not possible to consume more of limited resources without eventually depleting them. The pursuit of the goal to consume more since commerce exists and particularly since the beginning of the industrial revolution is the reason that the economy is approaching the limits of Nature everywhere and that the economy stagnates where it has reached these limits, i.e. in the industrialised world. How you can help legalise this accounting practise is explained at www.biosustainable.org.
