     Shepherd's Valley CSA farm, located in the heart of east central Kansas, provides its shareholders and customers with over 50 types of fruits and vegetables, along with grassfed lamb, pastured poultry, eggs, heritage turkeys, honey, culinary herbs, and more. We have been growing wholesome foods using organic and sustainable methods for over 30 years. The farm features 100 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, as well as many other crops. There are drop-off points during the growing season for farm deliveries in Emporia, Council Grove, Manhattan, and Topeka, Kansas. We also provide farm fresh foods to customers through local farmers markets and area food buying clubs. Each year several classes are available to learn more about sustainable farming methods, homestead living skills, and outdoor wild edibles treks. John is a founding member and current president of the Emporia Area Local Food Network. Farm tours are available by appointment. Contact us for more information.
