Alaska Wildlife Alliance
- Description:
The mission of the Alaska Wildlife Alliance is the protection of Alaska's natural wildlife for its intrinsic value, as well as for the benefit of present and future generations. AWA was founded by Alaskans in 1978 and depends on the grassroots support and activism of its members throughout Alaska, the Lower 48 states and around the world. AWA is the only group in Alaska solely dedicated to the protection of the state's magnificent wildlife species, including brown, black and polar bears, wolves and a variety of marine animals. The Alliance is your voice for promoting an ecosystem approach to wildlife management that represents the non-consumptive values of wildlife.
