Zelfo is an eco-logical, wood like, mouldable material processed solely out of plant
fibres and water by means of a sustainable process.
Patented early in 2000, it was not
until Zelfo Australia that this material was developed for commercial production.
Zelfo
has great aesthetics, strength and ease of use. Due to its novel moulding process, rounded
corners are easily incorporated into forms. We can of course also produce sharp edges.
Any raw material containing cellulose in sufficient concentration can be utilized for the
production of Zelfo. We have successfully used hemp fibre, sugar cane, waste paper, waste
textiles and more.
A ZED (Zelfo Efficient Design)includes most cylindrical products with
curved surfaces. Cabinets and three dimensional one piece cases and storage units are
ideal Zelfo products. Our core products are: Lamps, Chairs and other Furniture, Toys,
Lifestyle Products, Boxes, Bowls, Jewellery, Loud Speaker Cabinets, Didgeridoos, Djembes,
Udu and most musical instruments.
