Via Nativa Imports works directly with independent artisans and non-profit organizations, enabling crafts people responsible for production to earn a sustainable living while preserving their traditional lifestyle. In collaboration with artisans we create fine design and sustainable wood jewelry straight from Nicaragua. Via Nativa Imports is a Proud Member of the Fair Trade Federation, Green America & NYC Fair Trade Coalition. The wood comes from a FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified furniture manufacturer. We also offer spalted wood jewelry which is not logged (see below for definition). All jewelry and accessories are finished by hand with the highest of quality. Our labels use recycled paper, some handmade in Nicaragua from Plantain leaves other labels use soy inks. We also are committed to using all natural wood finishing such as linseed oil and pure tung oil for all of our wood jewelry. Click here to read more!
