We are an environmental organization at Port Huron Northern High School. Our
main focus is raising awareness of environmental issues in our community. We
also do volunteer projects. Some things we have done so far are: adopting and
maintaining a nature trail at the Pine River Nature Center, handing out saplings
on Arbor Day, passing out literature at local grocery stores the week of Earth
Day, having an eco-friendly carwash sponsered by local businesses, participating
in our town's River Day by cleaning up trash in the canal, participating in
Earth Fair by setting up a display on Invasive Species in our area, and most
recently doing a clean up at San Born Park. Our group has greatly advanced and
expanded throughout the past year and we have many more projects planned. Some
of those are: reinstating the recylcing program at Northern and posting
information about the wildlife on our trail at the Nature Center. For more
