Andrew Faust is one of the premier permaculture teachers In North America. With
17 years of permaculture experience behind him, living off the grid for 8 years,
Andrew now lives in Brooklyn where he is applying his knowledge to urban needs
and working on the development of a Center for Bioregional Living in Ellenville,
NY as a pilot campus for his New York City students and clients.
Adriana
Eloisa Magaña is a certified Permaculture Designer. She recieved a horticulural
certification from The Brooklyn Botanic Garden and is a professional musician,
homemade natural products, herbal remedies and cordials are among some of
Magaña's latest passions, Together they bring a wealth of wisdom and a diversity
of experience in teaching a range of applications of Permaculture design from
city to country and mountains to deserts and beyond.
Participants enjoy:
scenic campsites, wood heated showers and summer kitchen, organic whole foods
including sourdough bread, raw dairy, locally pastured meats and spring water.
Students experience: organic vegetable production, natural building with
on-site and local materials including earthen plaster, gravity fed springwater
on tap, greywater sumps, fruit trees, beekeeping, selective firewood harvesting,
rotational grazing.
April Workshop: Organic biointensive gardening, building
with local natural materials, ecological lawn, meadow, stream and wetland
management, orchards, composting, off-the-grid water systems, domestic and wild
animal management.
Permaculture Design Course: Ways of living that harmonize
with ecological patterns. Bioregional designs for local economies and ecologies,
energy and nutrient cycling, watershed health, animals in cultivated ecosystems
