Founded in 1995, The American Bear Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization based in Orr, Minnesota. Our mission is to promote the well-being
of the black bear and other wildlife through education and experience. In
addition, the ABA operates the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary nestled in the
beautiful wilderness of Minnesota's North Woods. The VSWS is the world's best
place to observe black bears and other wildlife in their native habitat. From
our large viewing deck, visitors have a 360 degree view of meadow and forest,
affording them the opportunity to learn about wild bears by observing their
natural behav
