Fresh Picked/pickled Coastal B.C. Sea Asparagus
Also known as seaphire. This
plant grows in salt water, imparting it with a salty flavour and crisp, crunchy
texture. It is high in vitamin A, and a good source of calcium and iron.
Storage & Handling
Seaphire should be stored between 3° - 4° C (36° - 38° F).
Optimum humidity - 90 to 98% Seaphire is hand-picked and packaged. Look for
crisp, firm, emerald green stalks with no signs of wilting or browning.
Refrigerate (do not freeze) for up to 2 weeks.
