Savvy On First

The mission of Savvy On First is to provide a fabulous shopping experience for the discriminating and savvy customer at a sensible price. We bring together over 200 artisans to bring you the most current, unique and clever creations including but not limited to art work, unique clothing, gift items, jewelry, handbags and home décor. We carefully select one-of-a-kind pieces that will evoke feelings of joy, amazement, humor and wonder. Savvy On First was founded by Lisa Boucher to provide shoppers as well as local artists with a venue where creativity is celebrated, emerging artists are discovered and everyone leaves with a treasure or a treasured memory. Savvy On First is proud to be located in the Historic Arcade Theatre building, built in 1915 by the Heitman brothers, Harvie and Gilmer. The central entry of the building under the Arcade Marquee offers comfortable covered passage from Bay to First Streets. This landmark building has attracted patrons of theatre and the arts for many years including Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. This building is a perfect fit for Savvy On First with many of the artisans inside the gallery weaving heirlooms from the past into their modern works. Savvy On First is poised to promote and encourage “buying local,” noting that a strong local economy is an engine for community stability. Downtown Fort Myers, Florida has so much to offer including the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, art galleries, museums, coffee shops, restaurants, bead shops, clothing boutiques, theaters, wineries, pubs, convention and events center, marina and so much more. It is our goal to make sure when you step inside our doors, you experience a new kind of shopping atmosphere and leave feeling good about you get.
