Our Good Heart Organics� Milk comes from cows fed 100% certified organic feed produced on
land untreated with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides for at
least three seasons prior to harvesting the crop.
Organic certification requires humane
treatment of the animals, clean water and bedding, and access to pasture, exercise and
fresh air. Drug use, including growth hormones and antibiotics, is not allowed. Processing
facilities are subject to strict standards, and are regularly inspected for compliance.
Our family-owned farms and plant are certified organic by California Certified Organic
Farmers (CCOF), a USDA accredited certifier. Under the procedures of certification, every
step of the process is evaluated for compliance with the highest organic standards.
From the farms, through transportation, storage, pasteurization, packaging, and delivery,
organic methods are followed and documented. At no time may organic milk be blended or
otherwise come into contact with conventional milk.vvv
