The Oakmont Farmers Market is a producers-only market featuring locally farmed
(within 100 miles) vegetables, fruit, cheese, eggs and poultry, bison, beef,
lamb, flowers and body products. It is located in the Oakmont Parking Lot at
2419 West Darby Road, just one-half block northwest of the Darby and Eagle Roads
intersection.
All meat and dairy is pastured and humanely-raised. Vegetable
and fruit producers include conventional, IPM, and organic growers.
In 2010,
the market is open every Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM, from May 19 to August 25.
After Labor Day, from September 8 to November 24 (the day before Thanksgiving)
the market will be open from 2 to 6 PM.
A Winter Market operates from
December through April, with advance ordering only. The Oakmont Farmers Market
newsletter provides information about ordering, weekly availability of produce
