A whale and dolphin rescue organization based in Key Largo, FL. Their mission is
to protect marine mammals and their habitat through rescue, release and
education. At their newly acquired location in Key Largo, The MMC hopes to build
necessary medical, animal care and research facilities to accomplish these
goals. This new facility will serve as a "halfway house" to bring marine mammals
from unsuitable, artificial, or overcrowded captivity situations and/or
stranding situations, and then to re-introduce such marine mammals back into
their natural environments; or for those unsuited to release, a quiet
retirement.
