Maine Sea Salt is a all natural, solar evaporated sea salt. Maine Sea Salt is made by
housing shallow pools of sea water in green houses. The sun enters the green house warming
the sea water, and at each end, the wind enters and carries away the evaporated water. The
entire process takes 45 days, depending on the summer sun. Maine Sea Salt is made in the
winter, protected by the green house, but does take longer, with the shorter days.
Maine Sea Salt comes in natural flavors, like lemon and garlic. We also smoke small
crystals with Apple, Alder, Hickory,and Mesquite, over a wood fire to add a natural smoky
taste.
