The shelter is open to the public ONLY on Saturdays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. LP closes if a
volunteer is unavailable to open, or the weather is bad. Please check our website at

Lone Pine is ran by volunteers and
there are no paid employees. The director works a full time job outside the shelter. LP is
a no-kill shelter with 78 dogs and 54 cats (9/07). Many animals have been at LP since they
were born. Sadly, many will live at LP until they die, never knowing a true home.
LP's mission is to help animals at LP get a forever home. Until then, LP volunteers
provide animals with a safe, healthy place to live. We educate the public about the
importance of altering pets to reduce the number of animals being euthanized each year.
LP survives on donations and adoption fees. To donate, go to
