Every woman deserves a doula.
What does a doula do? She takes care of the
mother during labor. She knows positions to help the baby drop down. She
knows massage techniques for relief of labor pain. She knows breathing
techniques to help you focus. She never leaves your side. She is your
champion, your servant, your cheerleader. Don't go it alone. Your partner
loves you but is worried about you and the baby. Your partner can tell you you
are beautiful and strong but he/she can't help the baby drop down. Your partner
doesn't know how to give birth. Your doula does.
When shopping for a doula
be sure to interview several to get the right fit for YOU.
Be sure to ask how
many births the doula does a month to insure her availability to you. Take your
questions to the interview. Make sure they are answered to your satisfaction.
