IRFT is promoting FAIR TRADE in India and helping small and marginalised
producers to locate the sustainable markets with fair prices to their produce.
Organic as well as non-organic foods- grains, pulses, oil,, processed products-
mango pulp, mango pickle, dried mushrooms, etc, organic ginned cotton, raw
cotton, fruits- sapota, mangoes (including Alphanso), pineapple, pomegranate,
grapes, bananas, papayas, etc, vegetables, mushrooms, etc are made available
from fair trade groups. This will help the small n& marginal producers to
overcome deadly competitive exploitation. Also Indian handicrafts, handlooms,
etc are made available.
