A non-profit group established in the late 1960s. Our mission is education about the
reasons for and methods of environmentally friendly gardening and to promote the reduction
of chemical dependency in gardens, lawns, and farms. We are a happy band of individual
gardeners and growers who aspire to work with nature, not against it. Most are home
gardeners, but we have a few small farmers and herb growers also. We meet quarterly to
share ideas and learn new aspects of organics in Indiana. We publish a quarterly
newsletter, which offers information for growing a variety of plants, for developing
healthy soil, and alternatives to toxic chemicals.
