Our free range, naturally reared,( without hormones, antibiotics or animal by products,)
chicken is grown in the hills of Wisconsin on small family farms. We grow our birds to
strict humane standards and we use our own specialty breeds.
Our breeds all originate
from the old pure bred heritage birds. They have that old time flavor and meat texture
that modern white breeds lack.
We grow our birds slowly to give the bird a more natural
life, with lots of fresh air and a natural range of pasture, bushes and scratching areas
and lots of space.
The old type breeds and the slower growth enhances the superior flavor
and texture of the meat, it truly brings back the taste of the old time chicken that we
remember.
We are a small family company with a team of dedicated growers who are all
small family farmers. We do not allow large flocks on our farms, we have specific
regulations for space in the poultry building and outside on the range. Our birds are
happy and healthy and the taste is second to none.
