High Desert Foods invites you into a world of all-organic jarred fruits and
vegetables grown in the unique climate conditions of Southwestern Colorado's
high desert and crafted under the guidance of celebrated chef and author,
Deborah Madison. The intense flavors of High Desert's products come from their
origins in the blue sky, red rock country of the Colorado Plateau where days are
sun drenched, nights cool quickly and rainstorms only rarely dampen the rich
clay soils.
High Desert's products are made from the 25 varieties of
fruits and vegetables grown by company founder Bill Manning at his own Kiva
Orchard, supplemented by a local network of cooperating organic farmers.
