The heat insulation industry refers to a roof coatings reflectivity as a ‘TSR’. (Total Solar Reflectivity). A Bare Roof or Worn Roof Coating in Any Colour is Absorbing around 90% of Radiant Heat, Reflecting Only Around 10%. A Roof Treated in a Heat Reflective Coating Will Only Absorb 10% as it will Reflect Around 90% of Radiant Heat. That is a Reduction in Roof Surface Temprature of around 40 degrees on a hot sunny day. This should reduce your air conditioning energy usage by more than 50% in most circumstances
