Healing is a complementary therapy, to be used alongside orthodox
medicine or in itself, for spirituality or relaxation. It involves the laying of
hands on different parts of the body; heat often emanates from the hands. It's
comforting & cocooning; can ease illness & emotional distress, or simply shed
everyday stress.
An ancient therapy, healing is now researched (proven to
reduce anxiety and increase plant growth) and available on the NHS at 2 UK
hospitals. We don't know how it works and there's no promise of result. Most
people find it relaxing and it sometimes works little miracles.
