Happy Badger has blazed a trail for local musicians, fair trade enterprise and
recently a creative cafe. In '05, prompted by their own kid's success in
singing, but not excited by the bars in which they had to perform, they opened a
15,000 sq ft Performing Arts Center in Southwyck area, Toledo. They held over
150 concerts before high rent forced them to close. Not forgotten, fate played a
role in new funds and Donna and Alan landed in Bowling Green Ohio. Today, they
still hold concerts, serve a refined cafe menu and sell Fair Trade gifts and
clothes. Still, the memories of spontaneity, new talent and appreciation are
still here, only smaller. Some of our ingredients include tofu, portabella and
white tuna. All sandwiches are prepared on Zingerman’s Bakery bread and roasted
with garlic olive oil. One of the customer favorites is our vegetable stew
topped with a Zingerman's Scone. Our teas and coffee are Fair Trade, Equal
Exchange and locally owned Grounds For Thought.
