Geneforum's focus on promoting dialogue at the intersection of genetics, ethics,
and public values is the centerpiece of a new Technology and Citizenship Program
being developed in the Center for Health Policy Studies at Portland State
University, Portland, Oregon. Geneforum is committed to the premise that
working in partnership with experts and policy makers, informed citizens can
create an environment of problem-solving designed to generate policy in
genetic-, cybernetic- information, and nano-technologies in the common good.
