Our lambs are bred for loin length and rib eye size. .
At Full Circle
Organic Farm, the lambs eat a diet full of variety and quality grasses and
herbs. Our pastures are native prairie grasses, certified organic legumes, wild
raspberries, and wild herbs; such as bergamot, wild onion, and other browse that
sheep like. The young animals are also given free access to all of the certified
organic kelp they want as well as a certified organic mineral mix. They have
clean well water available from the day of their birth.
These lambs are
managed on our farm through a strict pattern of paddock management; each with
its own variety of native grasses and herbal lays to ensure variety. The flock
is kept in a very calm and quiet environment and is moved only by SuzAnne, with
assistance of highly skilled staff that have been trained extensively on the
simple, calm method of movement of animals.
